This past week was was up in Montauk New York filming some Striped bass, Black fish, false albacore and black seabass fishing. I was sent there to film people catching them on their new Bucktail jig, called the Big Eye Buck.

Montauk Striped bass on the big eye buck.

I had no idea as I’m based in Florida, that the Northeast there number one go to lure for almost any kind of nearshore fishing is the buck tail.

I am still putting together the video on the buck tail which still have plenty of edits left to do until it is done.

One of the most sought after fish in that area is probably the striped bass. They are excellent game fish and well as good eating. I was told these guys range from 10 to 25 per lb in the stores there.

I filmed a how to fillet it properly with Dan from Double D Charters out of Montauk.

Here is a video of the Big Eye Buck from the ICAST 2017 Show.
