13 Fishing at ICAST 2015, New Omen Black

Last week I had a chance to shoot some videos at the 13 Fishing booth at ICAST 2015.

Here are the videos of the Archangle, Envy… and the latest Omen Black.

The New Omen Black at $100.00 is probably the best $100.00 spinning rod for throwing artificial I have ever used. Besides being very very light weight, the ergo grip is very comfortable, the cork is of high quality and the guides are stainless so will hold up well in the saltwater environment.

So far jigs, jerk baits, medium topwaters on the medium action spinning rod version I have been using has worked out nicely.

Saltyshores is not a cut and paste press release kind of website.  There are plenty of those out there already.  But for those that like to read them here press releases here it is.

13 Fishing’s Omen Black has been redesigned for 2016 and is better than ever.  One cast is all it will take to fully understand why the Omen is unrivaled in its class.

Offered in 14 casting models, 2 cranking models, and 15 spinning models ranging from 6’3”to 7’11” and in a variety of tournament tested actions, the Omen Black will excel at any application required for success at the highest level of competition.

The Omen Black is built on Japanese 30 Ton Toray blanks equipped with Poly Vector Graphite (PVG) Technology.  PVG allows for the strategic interlacing of graphite to precisely control the fiber angle alignment during the blank rolling process.  PVG’s tighter graphite composition increases sensitivity and hoop strength by preventing energy loss due to ovalization under extreme pressure.

Crafted with hand selected 3A Portuguese cork and an Evolve® Engage reel seat that permits direct contact with the blank, the Omen Black offers unmatched sensitivity and balance.  Equipped with ALPS® guides with Zirconia inserts, the Omen Black offers extremely lightweight guides that are also incredibly strong.  The Evolve Snag-Less hook keeper ensures that your focus remains on fishing and not fiddling with your equipment.  Excellence prevails.
