Paul Reenen, Unfair Lure’s Unfair Shrimp from ICAST 2012, Orlando

In my opinion, the coolest looking shrimp lure debuting at the ICAST 2012 this year is the Unfair lure’s unfair shrimp.

It is a weighted hard plastic shrimp. Not only is the body realistic but the eye are as well. It even swims backwards just like a real shrimp.

Paul Reenen, the inventor of the lure (who is a very accomplished angler) say’s the shrimp sinks head first then when you give a jerk, the rises to the surface like a real shrimp trying to skip away from predators. This would be very very cool indeed.

There are 2 versions, a sinker and a floater each in 2 sizes.

Unfair Lures

They did not have any samples to try out as they are waiting for their first shipment still. I hope to get a couple samples to do a a little real world test on them soon.

You can see the video of Paul explaining the principle in this video we got from ICAST 2012.
