Eddie and I dropped by the Fila shoe booth while at the Surf Expo 2012 to see what they got that was new for 2012. I was glad we did. With the craze of the five fingers I always wanted to try them. They are kinda goofy but friends tells me they are great. However with the prices reaching $80-$100+ for experimental shoes I opted not to.
Fila has a similar concept and this year they are have out the new Watermoc skeletoe water shoes. This shoe is made specifically for the water life style which is right down my alley. Eva foam so it floats, light and comfortable. Toe finger style so it allows for better feel as well as lower your center of gravity. There are also drain holes to allow water to leave your shoes.
The Columbia drain makers I got last summer are holding up great and they go with me every time kayak fish. These Fila watermoc will be great especially when I do the Stand up Paddle board fishing. And best of all they retail for only $49.95 which is 1/2 the price of the competitors.
