New Gear for 2011, Shimano Terez and Shimano Saragosa
3.8.2011
I did not see much of interesting NEW gear at this year’s Tampa Outdoor expo. However, there was definitely some great deals to be had there.
Last year my combo for tarpon via spinning outfit was a XXH Shimano Teramar. The Teramar did just fine so there was no reason to upgrade. No reason that is until I saw the new Terez that Shimano came out with last year at ICAST. I have not seen many of these rods around so I kinda forgot about them.
When I saw them over at the Tampa Expo I picked me up one to use on my 14000F Saragosa. I will be putting 50lb Braid on (probably Suffix).
I am thinking this would be an excellent SUV combo for bigger game fish(Tarpon, Kingfish, Cobia, Sharks). Offshore vertical jigging and casting.
I also picked up a couple Shimano Wax Wing casting lure. These guys are subsurface lures with super strong hooks. This should be awesome for casting to Tunas while offshore.
