Sony NEX-3 video mode test using the adapter for the Nikon 50mm 1.8

1.9.2011

The Sony Nex-3 has been a pretty impressive camera ever since I got a chance to use one a few weeks ago. I’ve been shooting a lot of stills with it along with some videos. Both looks great for a camera that can fit in your pocket and even at that price range.

The Nex-3 also allows you change lens to be more creative or for better optics. It comes with a 18-55mm lens which is an excellent all around lens. If you want you can even use Nikon, Canon, and Pentax lens on there if you buy and adapter for it.

Since I wanted to try my cheap $100.00 Nikon 50mm 1.8  lens on it I bought an adapter from Amazon that allowed me to use it for about $30.00. It does have it’s limitations  however. Only manual focus and metering but the optics are excellent.

Here is a clip I took with it today while walking the dog. All  hand held and manual focus and exposure.
