With all the carnage and chaos going on around town, I decided it would be a smarter idea to spent this Columbus day weekend over on the west coast of FL.

I spent a day in Choko fishing with Dave Teper and Capt. Jeff Legutki from World Angling (www.worldangling.com) working on getting some video footage for their latest fly fishing video.  Here are some still images from this day:

Afterwards, I would go further north and meet up with my buddy Capt. Rick De Paiva.  We did a little technical snook and redfishing this day but concentrated most of our day chasing down big giant pods of minnows getting plowed by schools of tarpon, sharks, bonitos, Mackerel, bluefish, ladyfish, and various other fish.  It had been a while since I had done this type of fishing.  There wasn't much technicalities involved... fish are popping everywhere and the boat is surrounded by a 100ft radius of boiling water.  This was balls to the wall inglorified carnage... broken fly lines, pulled hooks, breakoffs, smoked through all our minnow flies, etc...
